Environmental Health and Engineering – 2020 Projects

Affiliated with the Whiting School of Engineering and the Bloomberg School of Public Health, the Department of Environmental Health and Engineering is uniquely positioned to conduct cutting-edge research and to prepare young scholars capable of solving critical issues at the nexus of public health and engineering. Each year, clients challenge teams of students to solve real-world problems ranging from nutrient control in wastewater discharges and storm water management to upgrading public drinking water systems.

2020 Design Day Projects

This year, teams are working with Fort George G. Meade and the US Army Corps of Engineers to design best management practices meant to control the quantity of stormwater and improve the quality of water runoff entering Fort Meade’s surface waters.
