Timely, Empathic Cancer Education with AI
Project Description:
OncoBot is a Chatbot providing empathetic and trustworthy information about cancer to patients and their families. Empowering them to have complete information about their treatment and about doctor advice, OncoBot would also point them towards community resources, summarize any document with jargon that they can’t breakdown, and give them additional information in multiple languages, accessible formats, and allow them to share it with their caregivers.

In partnership with Shoreline Health, engineering students at Johns Hopkins designed OncoBot, a Chatbot providing empathetic and trustworthy information about cancer to patients and their families. Empowering patients to have complete information about their treatment, OncoBot also points them towards community resources and summarizes any document with jargon that they don’t understand. OncoBot provides information that can be shared with patients and their caregivers in multiple languages and accessible formats.
