Project Description:

While working with staff at the NHC Healthcare Mauldin nursing center, our team discovered that the COVID pandemic exacerbated communication issues between patients’ families and nursing home staff, since family members could no longer visit their loved ones. This gap in communication is detrimental to patient’s health care. We addressed this issue by designing a messaging system accessible on multiple platforms, where both parties can share important information with each other, while not increasing burden of the workers.
