Reimagining the Baltimore Museum of Art Antioch Court: Capacity, Crowd Flow, and Community Connectivity

Project Description:

The Baltimore Museum of Art is seeking ways to improve the circulation of visitors within its building by renovating the Antioch Court, an open-air courtyard situated within the museum and inaccessible to patrons. We envision converting this courtyard into a flexible event space for art exhibits, lectures, parties, and music performances. Using a systems engineering lens and employing agent-based modeling, our design team has optimized the space configuration and identified a strategy to expand access of the broader community to the museum through a public transit system.
