Inclusive Creativity: How Leaders Foster Innovation Through Empowerment

Program:

Center for Leadership Education

Project Description:

Organizations often rely on creative ideas for problem-solving and competitiveness. Despite leaders’ desire for creativity, their leadership style often lacks reflective actions. From this, we can better understand the benefits of creative environments to employees, organizations, and industries. Integrating creativity as a foundational framework correlates with engagement, solutions, and a conducive work environment, leading to universal spaces to drive innovation. Modern leadership theories provide context, but a true action plan framework can allow businesses to empower their employees. Through a sample of around 200 individuals, a mix of comprehensive surveys, interviews, and experimental analysis uncovers conclusions that can be framed as recommendations for how leading organizations can better utilize leadership in the workplace.
