Acoustic Impedance Matched Sensor Characterization
Program:
Electrical and Computer Engineering
Project Description:
Hearo is an electrostatic transducer with an elastomer layer that matches the acoustic impedance of the medium being monitored. It is able to suppress noise which results in clear acoustic pickup and can be used in a variety of applications such as monitoring heart and lung signals. This project focused on the electret layer characterization and the mechanical vibration characterization of the transducer.
