Engineering Inverted Architecture Colloidal Quantum Dot Solar Cells

Program:

Electrical and Computer Engineering

Project Description:

Colloidal quantum dots (CQDs) show promise as a solar cell material due to the size-dependent tunability of their band gap, but the performance of CQD solar cells is currently limited by their hole transport layer. The goal of this project is to engineer an efficient inverted CQD solar cell, which will allow us to more easily incorporate new materials as the hole transport layer.
