Oxygen Concentrator for Low-Resource Settings
Team: PRIME22
Program:
Mechanical Engineering
Project Description:
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the need for medical-grade oxygen has become apparent and exacerbated in low-resource communities in countries such as India. Current methods of oxygen delivery are either expensive, difficult to maintain, or do not have the capacity to provide for multiple patients. Thus, PRIME22 has pursued the development of a novel oxygen concentration system using air separation membranes that shows potential to satisfy purity and flow rate needs and withstand adverse conditions.
