Long White Cane Attachments for Increased Mobility

Team: Charm City Canes

Program:

Center for Leadership Education

Project Description:

The long white cane is used by millions of blind people to navigate their surroundings and achieve greater independence. While this solution is effective, blind individuals have identified usability issues such as wrist pain, difficulty with grip, and complications using the long white cane with other assistive devices. Our solutions explore the potential of personalized ergonomic grips and cane connection devices to speak to our user needs.
