TBI24: Traumatic Brain Injury: Q-Collar Tester

Program:

Mechanical Engineering

Project Description:

TBI24 is part of a US Department of Defense team that is evaluating the effectiveness of the Q-Collar, a device that claims to help users avoid traumatic brain injury (TBI). The team designed and built a cyclic load tester which it used to perform fatigue testing on the Q-Collar. The TBI24 team’s testing will determine if the Q-Collar can remain mechanically operational when subjected to repetitive use over the duration of a military deployment.
