Orthogonal Polarization Spectral Imaging For Circulation Analysis

Program:

Electrical and Computer Engineering

Project Description:

We use orthogonal polarization spectral imaging to analyze the functional capillary density of human blood vessels. We send polarized light to the skin and then collect the light with a crossed polarizer to eliminate the superficial reflections and better image the vessels. We design a portable device and computer interface capable of achieving this functionality.
